Experience overview

The Riviera Maya is shrouded in mystery, and one of the best ways to connect to our land is through our ruins, where ancient Mayan civilizations once thrived in the jungle and along the Yucatan Peninsula. On this day trip from Cancun and Puerto Morelos, expect to learn more about the spiritual and natural worlds of these treasured places from an expert guide. In addition to exploring the ruins, enjoy free time for a swim in the Cenote  Kuxtal, lunch, and free time in the heart of Playa del Carmen to end your day.

  • We go beyond traditional sightseeing. Our bilingual guides have spent years learning all there is to know about the enigmas and mysteries of our native land.
  • Fresh, local ingredients are on the lunch menu. Expect rice, fresh fish, and tender meat; we can ensure vegan and vegetarian options are also available!
  • We care about our Mayan culture. As natives, we hope to connect you to our history through nature, food, and stories of science and astronomy.
  • Feel like a local. On this Tulum day trip, you’ll also explore lesser-known Coba, with a free hour to rest or return to your favorite places.
  • Safety is important to us. On our tours, we want travelers to relax and have fun knowing that we are following strict Covid guidelines. If we have to change our itinerary for any reason, we will communicate that to you in advance.

Start your day with hotel pickup
Climb into your comfortable, climate-controlled van to start a journey that will take you back in time to discover a culture that stands out for its enigmas and mysteries.
Arrive at Tulum
The walled city, Tulum, is an archaeological site on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, where your professional guide will surprise you with interesting facts during a 45-minute tour. At the end of it, you can enjoy free time to walk around on your own. Many people descend the wooden stairs down onto the beach for photos and to enjoy the soft sand and warm turquoise water.
Engage your senses with a swim and lunch
After a warm morning of walking, refresh in the Cenote Dzonot Wayak for an hour to swim. These calm waters are enriched with algae, vitamins, and minerals that leave your skin soft and revitalized. Once you’re fresh and full of energy, try a delicious buffet of traditional dishes to connect your senses to this experience, accompanied by a cold beer, soft drinks, or water.
Explore the Coba ruins
Next it’s time to explore more of the Mayan jungle — and more ancient history. Arrive at Coba, the site of one of the more newly discovered pyramids, surrounded by cenotes and lagoons. Here you can climb the highest pyramid in the area, Nohoch Mul, some 140 feet (42 meters) high. Visit the field of the famous ball game. If during the tour you lacked time to contemplate, do not worry, you will enjoy a free hour to rest or return to your favorite places.
End with a stroll in Playa del Carmen
Finally, discover the exciting avenue that is considered the heart of Playa del Carmen. (Please note that this only for passengers staying at hotels in Cancun and Puerto Morelos.) Afterward, your van will be ready to take you comfortably and safely to the door of your hotel.
