How long does it take from Cancun to Chichen Itza

Two hours and thirty minutes average. Before arriving to the site, your guide will share with you some aspects of the Mayan Culture and Chichen Itza. Expect a quick stop to stretch legs and use facilities in the middle of the trajectory.

It’s a good idea to bring a light sweater for a comfortable nap in the air-conditioned vehicle.

Is it safe walking down the Cenote Cave?

As you make your way to the wooden stairs you will find safely enforced handrails. In less than 5 minutes you will be experiencing one of the most unique sightings in the Yucatan Peninsula. The Mayan People gave great respect and treatment to these natural freshwater systems. Time to swim, refresh and re energize.

Is the water in the Cenote shallow?

The waters are deep and swimming skills are required. For your safety life vests are available.

Why is pick time up so early in the morning?

Our day tour is aimed to get most of the archaeological site, as our group will access here about the time it gets opened to visitors. This aspect of the tour makes it one of the main reasons visitors like it the most. This allows us to better enjoy the site; since there are less people and the sun is not as intense as midday. By the afternoon the volume of visitor increases heavily. And is exactly the time our group will be departing to go to Colonial Valladolid.
