Museum Opens at 9:00 am and closes at 6:00 pm . Last access is at 5:30 pm . Access tickets will be conveniently delivered at the Window of Parque Maya Cancun , Right in front of Museo Maya de Cancun .
The Archaeology in the State of Quina Roo is displayed in the first room of the museum. With the oldest burials found in submerged caves along the coast up to the flourishing of the Mayan Culture in the northern part of the state , before the Spanish Conquerors arrived. You will see the details of the architectural elements. Domestic and ritual objects as well. This exhibition closes with a brief outline of the Conquest , Colonial times and the Caste War.
In the second part you willl see general aspects of the Mayan Civilization , their view of the world, origin , development and decline. How the Mayan People performed agriculture, commerce, their wars and their ruling class and some of the most well known cultural expressions as the Mayan Calendar and Mayan Ball Game.
